Friday, 01 February 2008 |
Dear Tangueros,
Tango Synergy’s annual general meeting is fast approaching. This is an ideal opportunity for all members to contribute to synergy’s direction over the coming year. The Agenda for the evening is attached. We will be starting the meeting at 6.30pm promptly on Wednesday 6th February 2007 and finishing at 7.30pm in time for the dancing to commence!! You are welcome to come earlier at 6pm to have a chat about continuing the success of Synergy and nominating any members for the positions available in the committee. The positions are president, vice president, secretary, treasurer and three ordinary members. Already nominations have been received for president (Chris Condron), vice president (Rachel Bond), secretary (William Wright AKA Blinky), treasurer (Megan Currie), and the 3 ordinary members (Karen Garnett, Rebecca Rashid, Natalia Varakina). We will be meeting at a table in the centre of the piazza from 6pm, with the meeting beginning at 6.30. In the case of wet weather we’ll go to Dante’s Restaurant which is on the right hand side as you enter the piazza from Norton St (their manager has always been enormously supportive of us dancing at the Forum!) The agenda is going to cover brief reports from outgoing office bearers, election of the new committee and acceptance of the synergy constitution......then into tango!!!!! Look in your email box tomorrow to find a copy of the proposed constitution and the minutes from last year’s general meeting. If you’re not yet a member you can join on the night, and existing members will be able to renew their membership .We would like to encourage you to invite friends along to find out about Synergy and what we have to offer the tango community. Please come along and show your support for Synergy: an association created by dancers, for dancers.
Sincerely, Chris Condron and Rachel Bond, Synergy members. |
