Written by Megan Currie
Tuesday, 10 July 2007
For those of you who are interested in joining us for the beautiful milonga in the Grand Ballroom at the Carrington Hotel, may be interested in accommodation at this place.

http://bluemts.com.au/no14/

The house where 10 of us are staying is right next door, and I believe there are wooden floor boards for dancing.

The prices in the guest house also seem very reasonable…

4 share Room

$22 p/p per night

Double or Twin Room

$59 per twin share per night

Double Room with Ensuite

$65 per twin share per night

Please book directly with No 14 if you are interested.

Off-Broadway Hotel milonga is over...
Written by Alexandre Djoev
Monday, 04 June 2007

Hello everyone,

I bring sad news, as the Off-Broadway Hotel have pulled the pin on our Tango evenings at their venue on Wednesday nights. Unfortunately the Pool Tables earn more income than what we spend behind the bar, so therefore the pool tables win.. Sad but true.

We are on the hunt for another venue to replace this Wednesday night venue. The Swingtime venue at Camperdown has a Thursday night free in the backroom which is $60 a night, however we will continue scouting around for other venues.

The GOOD NEWS is that the restaurant Jacana in North Sydney who recently hosted the International Tango Festival has invited us to dance in their restaurant once a month (the first Wednesday of the month).

Our first one will be 1st Wednesday in July and this milonga will be $15, however you will get a meal from their menu to the value of $15. Dancers arriving after 10pm can enter for $10 and will receive dessert or a glass
of wine.

As this is the second night club to favour bar/pool tables rather than non drinking patrons, we will unfortunately have to enforce some kind of income to the venue owners.

I hope you all understand.

If you know of any other venues that may be an option to replace the Off-Broadway Hotel, please let any of the Tango Synergy team know.

Kind regards

Karen Garnett
Secretary

Just to let you know that I've installed Gallery2 application, so from now on we can start to collect our tangosynergy photos. I'm not really happy with the current theme so I might change it in the future and also I want to upload old photos from STD. Actually here is a question: when are we organizing our STD 4?
