What's On at Tango Synergy |

Welcome to Tango Synergy Inc - the nonprofit community association created by and for social dancers of Argentine Tango in Sydney!
We run a weekly milonga as well as various special events, and you're invited to join us, whether or not you're a member.
Our weekly milonga is at Farsaci Restaurant, 198-220 Norton St, Leichhardt, from 8-11.30pm every Tuesday evening.
There's a lovely wooden dance floor and a welcoming vibe, and between dances you can relax and have your dinner, a glass of wine, a coffee or a gelato at this Italian restaurant. Our rotating list of guest DJs means there's always something new to dance to as well as the old favourites. And best of all, entry is only $5 for members, $8 for non-members, or FREE if you eat dinner at the restaurant!
Membership of Tango Synergy is only $40 per year and entitles you to a range of discounts and benefits. These include reduced cover charges for all Synergy milongas and events, and discounts at various other schools, workshops, restaurants, and associated activities. - Farsaci Restaurant, 198 Norton St Leichhardt: Free use of the space on Wednesday evenings with any meal purchase; otherwise, discounted entry.
- Dante Italian Restaurant, The Italian Forum, 23 Norton St Leichhardt: 10% (2 people) or 20% (4 or more people) off food purchases.
- "Amor de Tango", Damian Thompson and Julianne Martens: Workshop discounts (last time it was a 25% discount - stay tuned for next time!)

Damian Thompson and Julianne Martens of “Amor de Tango” are coming to Sydney to bring us 6 workshops in a range of styles and levels, each only $20, or $15 for Synergy members – what a bargain! Come along and learn from one of Australia’s most progressive Tango couples. Places strictly limited to 20 people per class so book early. All workshops will be held at The Tango Room in Paddington. Outdoor milongas are back! |

Tango Synergy is delighted to announce the return of our popular outdoor milongas in the Italian Forum!
The summer season opens this coming Wednesday 17th December with a gorgeous evening of tango under the stars in the atmospheric setting of the Italian piazza. Surrounded by restaurants, our shoe-friendly dance floor always attracts a crowd of dancers and onlookers, with dancing from 7.30-10.30pm and music by DJ Karen. Gold coin donation requested.
Tango Synergy members receive a discount of 10% (for 2 or more people) or 20% (for 4 or more people) if you mention this offer when dining at Dante’s Restaurant, which is on the right hand side as you come down the stairs into the Piazza. So come early to eat, and maybe grab a gelato or coffee too. Just another reason to join the association!
Our outdoor milongas will be held on every FIRST and THIRD Wednesday of each month, weather permitting, until May – with possibly a few extra special occasions too.
In case of wet weather, the milonga will be held at our other regular venue, Farsaci Italian Restaurant, at the other end of Norton St (198-200 Norton St Leichhardt). Contact Rachel 0403771134 or Karen 0414527369 for more information.

 This week Tango Synergy's Wednesday milonga will be bigger, brighter and sparklier than usual – it’s our Christmas Party! This is the opportunity you’ve been waiting for to captivate your friends with an evening of tango. Take advantage of the welcoming atmosphere to invite them along and book a table for dinner! Our guest DJ Hosanna promises to share her favourite music for a gorgeous night of dining and dancing.
Plus, dress up for the occasion for a chance to win fame, glory and costume prizes. Be creative in your interpretation of the classic CHRISTMAS theme! Non-dancing friends can take part too.

Location: Farsaci Italian Restaurant, 198 - 200 Norton Street, Leichhardt.

Time: 8 - 11:30pm
Cost: Only $5 for members or $8 for non-members. As a member, your entry is free when you enjoy a meal at this authentic Italian restaurant. Of course there is no cover charge for non-dancers who are there for dinner and to watch.

Synergy's regular milonga is held on Wednesday evenings in Leichhardt in Sydney's Inner West. We offer members and supporters the opportunity to share their music with us by DJing. Tango Synergy prides itself on music selections that cater for all walks of tango life, with tandas ranging from traditional milongas, valses and milongas to nuevo, neo and electronic.
