[Tango Synergy Members] Fabulous New Wednesday Night Milonga Venue

Dear Synergy Members

 

Wow, after our first night at Mary’s Hotel last night, I’m thrilled to
confirm that we have hit the jackpot in terms of finding a venue that is
perfect for us and our organization. The dance floor is beautiful to dance
on, it has real tango ambiance with red curtains, candles, fantastic PA, bar
and restaurant with fabulous meals that are really affordable as well as a
little stage for our guest musicians which I’m sure we’ll be hosting from
time to time. The area allocated to us does not impact on their other
clientele so it is a very comfortable and social evening indeed.

 

The whole Hotel has been tastefully renovated and is located on the corner
of Redfern & George Street. I parked within 20 meters of the venue and the
whole area is very well lit and I felt very safe walking to my car even
though it was after midnight.

 

I’ve confirmed that we are welcome there on a regular basis as it appears
Wednesdays are very quiet for them currently. Therefore we will most
definitely be holding regular Wednesday milongas at this venue, the second
being next Wednesday 20 June 2007.

 

Now we don’t want to lose this venue, so our strategy for ensuring we don’t
‘take advantage’ of this venue for ‘free dancing’ we are offering the
following cover charge.

 

Tango Synergy members:           $5 however if you purchase a meal and show
your receipt you will receive free entry to the milonga

 

Non Tango Synergy members:    $5 (and please take advantage of the beautiful
meals that are between $10 and $15)

 

Time:                8pm – 12 midnight

The venue is:     Marys Hotel (above Dominos Pizza)

                       106 George Street (Cnr Redfern Street)

                        Redfern

 

(the nice side of Redfern)

 



 

We look forward to seeing you there next Wednesday as well as this Friday at
our Monthly milonga.
