Hi all from Albert and Tim

Perhaps what we need to do is establish rules regarding milonga etiquette
specifically as it applies to tangosynergy- including dance floor etiquette
(which yes i know I break all the time - sorry guys). Further and as Klause
has suggested perhaps we also need to include rules regarding the DJ and the
type of music mix that maintains the tangosynergy image or point of
difference from other dance organisations eg the proportion of traditional
and modern music

May I take this opportunity to express both Tim and my gratitude to all
tangosynergy members who have welcomed us into the organisation. Given that
we are trained latin dancers the tango has provided a very interesting and
challenging dance

ps considering that Klause is moving to Cairns that makes the penalty of
having to dance with him a very expensive one

  I also love dancing to Mark's music and I know there are many others too!
So let's find a way to fix this.. how about some synergy guidelines i.e.
written "rights" of the DJ regarding interrupting his work - which I suspect
may have been the offending item ;)
  Any preach could be punished with ... a dance with Klaus or maybe not
quite that bad but a contribution to the synergy gorup i.e. has to put
together his own playlist  or simply a $5 fee for the organisation and a
free entrance for the offended DJ next time ;)

  But may this could be discussed within synergy or the people envolved...

  Sometimes our passion just takes over so let's be tolerant..it can happen
to fellow dancers too - remember synergy is about "togetherness" ;)

  PS: Guys - as I am leaving Sydney - maybe someone wants to take over the
admin role of sydneytangodancers - how shall this be arranged? Any
volunteers?

  I have volunteered to DJ as a fill-in on more than one occasion at
MrMary's.  On account of interference from the individual known as Blinky I
want everyone to know that I will no longer DJ for Synergy at this venue.

          We began our AGM last week, however only got through the first 2
agenda items. We decided that 1 hour was simply not enough and will
therefore be scheduling in a time where we can complete the meeting and post
the minutes.



          ROSTER – DJ and Open/Close



          One item we did get to was that we need a DJ Roster! So I need a
call to arms to man the music.



          Even if you can only provide 1 hour of music, you will be welcome
with open arms.



          We want to post the Roster on the Website, so people can see when
their favourite DJ's are on and will also ensure that we constantly get new
playlists to dance to. We need you for:



          1st Wednesday of the month - Jacana

          2nd Wednesday of the month - MrMarys

          3rd Wednesday of the month - MrMarys

          4th Wednesday of the month - MrMarys

          5th Wednesday of the month – MrMarys



          Please volunteer to keep your tango community organization going.



          MrMary's this Wednesday



          Look forward to seeing you at this gorgeous venue in Redfern.
Great dance floor – friendly dancers – fantastic food at ridiculously cheap
prices.



          $5 entry or free with purchase of dinner.



          Jacana Restaurant next week



          The Jacana Restaurant on the first Wednesday of the month will be
our more traditional milonga with DJ'ing by Yoshi. Please join us at this
friendly restaurant in North Sydney.



          7:30pm – 9:30pm           $15 including a main meal

          After 9:30pm                  $10 which includes dessert/glass of
wine/coffee
