Wednesday night Practica this week at Mr Marys


Rebecca will be our DJ this Wednesday and has suggested a ‘Tango Survival’
session where experienced dancers offer complete beginners or anyone
interested for that matter, a mini lesson in dancing Tango. This will begin
at 8pm and will run for 30 minutes, so if you know anyone who would like to
give this a go in a non-dance school environment, please let them know. Also
we want to make sure we actually have some experienced dancers at the venue
by 8pm, so please support this great initiative.


MrMary’s is $5 or free with dinner purchased.


Friday night Monthly Milonga this week is back at the Camperdown Swingtime
Studio


If you haven’t given this milonga a go yet, don’t you think its time you
did. This milonga intends to put the smiles back on tangueros faces. Only $6
for members and $10 for non-members and free after 11pm. (we normally go
till 1 or even 2am if dancers are still on the dance floor)

Tango Weekend Retreat, 24-25 November

Ready for a big BASH? Then come to Buenos Aires in the Southern Highlands!

The BASH will be held in Bundanoon, just 2 hours by car from Canberra and
Sydney and is right on the train line. Bundanoon is a veritable haven of
Devonshire teas, rainforest walks, glow worm caves and B&Bs. But even more
importantly, on the weekend of Saturday 24 – Sunday 25 November it will be
the site for our very first collaborative Tango Weekend Retreat!

BASH is being co-presented by Tango Synergy (Sydney) and the Tango Social
Club of Canberra. So, it will be a great weekend for networking, and dancing
with your favourite Sydney dancers as well as making new tanguero amigos
(and tanguera amigas) from Canberra!

BASH will include a Saturday afternoon practica, the big Saturday night
milonga and a Sunday recovery practica. And what’s more, all 3 events will
cost very little more than your regular club milonga! We’ll also try to
arrange some special accommodation deals, and a host of other activities.

So, put Saturday 24-25 November in your diaries for a big BASH, and watch
this space for more details over the coming weeks!
