Wednesday Halloween Practica this week at Mr Marys

OoooOOOOooo how can we let this practica not have a Halloween theme. It’s
bound to be lots of fun, so if you haven’t been to this fantastic venue,
this is the week to give it try. Check out the friendly vibe, great dance
floor and variety of music.

Time: 8pm – midnight 

Dress: something spooky, wacky, different or fun

DJ: Jarek has volunteered to DJ this Halloween night – some spookkkyy music
guaranteed.

This practica is $5 or free to members who purchase dinner.

Bundanoon Tango Weekend Retreat, 24-25 November

Ok, guys its time to start committing on-line. Simply email that you’re
coming and then pay $15 or $20 respectively (depending on whether you’re a

Places are starting to fill and we estimate at least 80 tangueros will be
joining us on this Tango Getaway. Bookings have even been made by
Brisbanites. 

The BASH Buenos Aires in the Southern Highlands will be held in Bundanoon,
just 2 hours by car from Canberra and Sydney and is right on the train line.
Bundanoon is a veritable haven of Devonshire teas, rainforest walks, glow
worm caves and B&Bs. But even more importantly, on the weekend of Saturday
24 – Sunday 25 November it will be the site for our very first collaborative
Tango Weekend Retreat!

BASH is being co-presented by Tango Synergy (Sydney) and the Tango Social
Club of Canberra. So, it will be a great weekend for networking, and dancing
with your favourite Sydney dancers as well as making new tanguero amigos
(and tanguera amigas) from Canberra!

BASH will include a Saturday afternoon practica, the big Saturday night
milonga and a Sunday recovery practica. And what’s more, all 3 events will
cost $15 for members and $20 for non-members! Accommodation is available at
as little as $40 per person.

Reciprocal rights between Tango Clubs

Already Tango Synergy have been welcomed into the tango embrace of the Tango
Social Club of Canberra and I have the good news of advising you that we
have also been approached by the Tango Adelaide Club about having reciprocal
rights between our Tango Clubs. They have announced that they are “pleased
to offer our members the same rights as a local club member when visiting
Adelaide. Please advise your members to make themselves known to us when
they are in Adelaide and we will endeavour to make them feel welcome.”

I just love that these community organizations are really making an effort
to help strengthen the bonds in the Tango Community.
