The gods rewarded us with the most perfect summers night for outdoor tango. The combined portable dance floor gave the 60+ dancers who came an 8m x 6m dance floor that everyone could relax and enjoy. I am not being padantic or singular but given the incidents that occured last year I feel that it is important to stress this as one of the unique and outstanding features of Tango Synergy. ie if you dont like it dont come!!!!!! and bye the way thank you to everyone for including everyone - it really is important 2. From my understanding, the constitution doesn't need to state sources of income or expense; in fact this limits us. If we've stated (for instance) "income from memberships and event entry", then if someone comes along and wants to donate to the group or pay us for a lesson or performance, we can't take it without holding a general meeting to approve it. The consitution is the document that defines the rules of the association and should not change (or only minimally) over the life of the association so I feel we're better off leaving these things open. 4. Distribution to selected charity doesn't have to be in there. It's just a safeguard for if we somehow run into more money than we can use (yeah, right!!) or for what to do with remaining funds when/if the association becomes unincorporated. We can get rid of it if people prefer. 3. As for losses... I don't know!The only other association I'm in doesn't have any written rules, we just make sure not to exceed our budget! Anyone have suggestions? Would this need to be in the constitution? PLEASE tell us what you think! If you don't have a copy of the proposed constitution, and want one, let me know. Accidentally I put two La Cumparsitas for the ending. The first one was very modest and many dancers must have wondered it was not good for the milonga. I apologise for that but it was the oldest La Cumparsita recorded in 1917 by Orquesta Aronzo/Minotto. Last one was one of the best La Cumparsita by Quinteto Real recorded in 1964. Message-ID: Dear Tangueros, Last week?s Christmas Party Milonga was brilliant, with a record attendance, costume prizes donated by our supporters (Ash?s Caf? in Rushcutters Bay, and Healthy Script Pharmacy in Circular Quay), plus a quirky performance. Now Tango Synergy is delighted to announce the return of our popular outdoor milongas in the Italian Forum! . The summer season opens this coming Wednesday 17th December with a gorgeous evening of tango under the stars in the atmospheric setting of the Italian piazza. Surrounded by restaurants, our shoe-friendly dance floor always attracts a crowd of dancers and onlookers, with dancing from 7.30-10.30pm and music by DJ Karen. Gold coin donation requested. Tango Synergy members receive a discount of 10% (for 2 or more people) or 20% (for 4 or more people) if you mention this offer when dining at Dante?s Restaurant, which is on the right hand side as you come down the stairs into the Piazza.
